CNBC was launched by NBC Universal in the US in 1989. The channel quickly rose
to market leadership in television business news with its bold move to broadcast
directly from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

CNBC Pakistan was launched under the banner of Vision Network Television Ltd on
15th November 2005, under a license Agreement with CNBC Asia Pacific.
The channel was initially restricted to the business news, however with the
growing demand of the viewers the channel now operates as full fledged news and
current Affairs channel.
A team committed of High Class professionals is responsible to run the channel.
CNBC Pakistan operates out of Karachi and has bureaus at Lahore and Islamabad
with affiliates stations Quetta, Peshawar, Multan, Faisalabad and Hyderabad.
