KARACHI: The Sindh government, in view of precarious law and order situation in the Karachi, extended on Saturday Rangers' additional specific authorities for another three months.

Sindh Home Department today issued a notification for the extension of special powers exercised by the Rangers in the city.

According to a notification, the Pakistan Rangers, Sindh can conduct raids, search operations and make arrests under clause-5 of the Anti-Terrorism Act in all five districts of the city.

The paramilitary troops have been empowered to search any building without warrants. CNBC
