SHOWS YOU HOST: Pakistan Aaj Raat, Teesri Nazar & twice a week quick fire analysis on political news in Power Lunch.
WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR SHOWS
It’s a tough question because there are quite a few things that I can say on this. I will start off by saying it gives me the freedom to speak. My shows give me a chance to represent the general public and give me the responsibility to address various stories from their perspective. ‘Pakistan Aaj Raat’ is all about our country and therefore gives me that patriotic feeling. It pumps me up because I’m able to talk about my country and it’s hot issues and perhaps come up with possible solutions.
FAVOURITE PERSON YOU INTERVIEWED: Throughout my career, I have interviewed people from different walks of life, starting from Saif Ali Khan, Akhshay Kumar, Sonu Nigam, Sajid Khan, Taz (Stereo Nation) to a long list of Pakistani stars including politicians. But when it comes to my most memorable interview, I would say it was last year when i interviewed the family of Capt Junaid Khan (Shaheed) an SSG Commando who embraced Shahdat (fighting terrorists) in Swat. The bravery/courage of Capt Junaid is evident but to see the same amount of courage and patriotism in the eyes of the family of the martyr was amazing. Hats off to the sons of the soil as well as to their families for the courageous upbringing of the heroes of the country.
WHAT YOU DID BEFORE YOU WERE AT CNBC Pakistan: I have been literally everywhere from banking to Radio to TV. Before joining CNBC, I was working for the state PTV News, hosting "Good Morning Pakistan" that I did for exactly a year. If I go further back, I was also with Geo English which was never launched but I was hired by them for the morning show, and the list goes on and on and on. I would rather say for more details watch my show! "PAKISTAN AAJ RAAT" Monday to Friday 10:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

SHOWS YOU HOST: Agenda 360 & Teesri Nazar.
WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR SHOWS
"Agenda 360 is a hard hitting analysis based show which we often invite guests to. I enjoy being able to present opinions on such a large platform, and the banter with Haider Waheed is also highly enjoyable. The two Agenda shows have week end slots, and that gives us time to look at the issues of the week and frame a show that is deeper than just guests and random conversation".
"Teesri Nazar is a very recent venture, and it is thrilling. It is high energy throughout, and because it is done between two anchors alone, we dictate the pace in a way that is not possible otherwise. The equipment used for the show is really high tech, and the video wall as a background provides for a very interactive setting. We try to pick out what we feel are the most important news items of the week, and then knock them around between ourselves. We aim to make the show a true review of the week, where in one hour the viewer can absorb all the important news stories of the week, whilst being entertained throughout".

'Ghar ka kharch' is a daily program for women in which I show them how to increase their house hold income by using their talent, how to save and how women can manage their house-hold budget economically. With this show I have been given an opportunity to help Pakistani women to fight against against our country’s soaring inflation. To make this program more interesting and to motivate women of our country, I usually try to show examples by inviting those women entrepreneurs who are struggling hard for many years in order to be independent and generate a sustainable income.
'Power lunch' is a daily blend of political and financial news. An interactive discussion with the guest who is usually a CEO or the MD of a well reputed organization is also included on a certain topic relating to the financial sector of Pakistan.
'Kamyaab' is a weekly program that seeks the person behind the public figure who has achieved success against all odds. A show like no other, Kamyaab cuts through all the hype and brings you the real person and story behind the business legend or respected achiever.

SHOWS YOU HOST: Islamabad Say.
WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR SHOWS
We have been told repeatedly that our show gives a balanced approach. We talk to top politicians of Pakistan and question them about the issues affecting the common man on the streets. It gives us a chance to explore the corridors of power and what we have learnt through our shows is that these corridors are complicated. They may not always be corrupt but they are intrinsic. We aim to untangle these mazes so that public opinion can matter and be more audible. This is what I like the most about my show. It gives us a chance to highlight the voices which are usually unheard. And the fact that we look at all sides of the picture.
FAVOURITE PERSON YOU INTERVIEWED: Since my show depends primarily on the guests so having opinionated guests who can put their point of view in a forceful manner makes them all favourites. If I had to narrow it down, my favourites would probably come down Marvi Memon, Dr Babar Awan, Tehmina Daultana, Senator Zafar Ali Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira and Senator Faisal Reza Abedi. All of these people really made my show interesting. Before joining CNBC, however, the best person to interview was Nelson Mandela.

I also worked with two TV channels in London before I moved to the first English language channel in Pakistan. I then came to CNBC.
