ISLAMABAD: Real Estate Magnate Malik Riaz did not dole out money and plots among journalists, said his counsel Zahid Hussain Bukhari in Arsalan Iftikhar suo motu case on Saturday.

Talking to media at Supreme Court (SC) Lahore Registry, Bukhari said conspiracy, if afoot against any national institution, should be uncovered, adding the document of Bahria Town regarding bribes given to journalists is counterfeit.

All and sundry should tell the truth, the businessman’s counsel said.

Malik Riaz, he noted, did not consult with him prior to his press conference, where he spoke his heart out, adding, “I, as a counsel, have nothing to do with it.”

Resentment was large writ on the face of Malik Riaz, as he held the holy Quran in his hand at the press conference, he added. CNBC
